Bubbles

🧡The Gift Of Hope

Bubbles came into care in 2021 after being trapped as a young pawnager during a TNR project. She was frightened, unsure of people, and struggling with a painful eye infection that simply wouldn’t heal. After weeks of treatment with no improvement, the kindest choice for her comfort was to remove the damaged eye — a decision that finally brought her relief and allowed her to begin healing.

Just a few weeks later, Bubbles tested positive for FeLV. FeLV‑positive cats deserve every bit of love, safety, and joy as any other cat, but the reality is that many people hesitate when health issues are involved. Even so, Bubbles was lucky enough to find a wonderful couple willing to open their hearts and offer her the forever home she deserved. Sadly, both adopters experienced severe allergic reactions, and with heavy hearts, they had to return her.

With no further home offers and a condition that makes rehoming more difficult, Bubbles stayed in her foster home — the place where she is cherished, understood, and loved exactly as she is. Every day with her is precious. Her foster mum has given her the stability, gentleness, and safety she needs to thrive, and Bubbles has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who lives her life with courage and quiet joy.

Bubbles is playful, resilient, and full of heart. She reminds us that love isn’t about perfection — it’s about commitment, compassion, and showing up for the cats who need us most.

For those who like to follow Bubbles’ journey, she is registered with Slaney Veterinary Centre, who continue to support her ongoing care.
