Little Paws at New Hope

March to September is our busiest time, and while “kitten season” now stretches through most of the year, spring and summer bring the biggest wave of vulnerable little lives through our doors. We care for the cats who need us most: newborn kittens, growing “paw”nagers, and pregnant mums who deserve a safe place to raise their very last litter.

Kitten season isn’t all tiny paws and cute photos. It often means sleepless nights, bottle feeds every couple of hours, constant cleaning, litter training, socialising, and the worry that comes with caring for fragile babies and exhausted mums. Our fosters give everything they have — time, energy, and a whole lot of heart — because every single life matters.

And despite the challenges, there is nothing more meaningful than seeing a once‑struggling kitten grow strong, or watching a mum cat rest peacefully knowing her kittens are safe. Those moments remind us why this work is so important, and why we keep going.

Many people ask how they can help during kitten season, and practical supplies make an enormous difference. Items such as kitten formula, weaning mousse, puppy pads, soft blankets, and other essentials help our fosters provide the hands‑on care these little ones depend on.
