Not everyone can foster or volunteer, but many people still want to help a cat in need. Give the Gift of Hope is our way of making that possible. This programme allows you to support a cat’s veterinary care by making a direct payment to one of our partner vets. Every euro goes straight to essential treatment — from neutering and vaccinations to parasite control, microchipping, and emergency care.
Some of the cats who come to us need a little extra help on their journey to a safe and loving home. They may be recovering from illness, healing from injury, or simply needing time and support to regain their strength. Each one has their own story, and we’re doing our very best to provide them with everything they need.
By giving the Gift of Hope, you play a personal role in that journey. Your contribution helps ensure a cat receives the care they need to heal, grow, and move toward a brighter future.
How it works
- Read about some of the cats currently in our care — their stories, their needs, and the treatments they’re receiving. These examples show the kind of cases your Gift of Hope will support.
- Contact one of our partner vets listed below.
- Let them know you’d like to make a payment toward New Hope Cat Rescue.
- The clinic will process your payment directly and apply it to the veterinary care of the cats we are supporting — including the ones whose stories you’ve read, and others who will need help next.
Your contribution becomes part of a shared fund of care, easing the burden of vet bills and ensuring we can continue saying “yes” to the cats who need us most.

Meet some of the cats in our care
Pumpkin
Pumpkin has been part of her foster family since 2018, arriving as a tiny kitten with bright eyes and a hopeful heart. She was learning to trust, slowly discovering that gentle hands and soft voices meant safety. In those early days she had many adoption offers, but as she grew, her path became more complicated.
Pumpkin lives with chronic rhinitis — a lifelong condition that brings regular flare‑ups, congestion, and discomfort. Her symptoms are managed with anti‑inflammatories, antibiotics, and a high‑quality diet to help her maintain her strength, but being unwell so often is hard on her little body. She also struggles with anxiety, yet in the familiar rhythm of her foster home — with the people and cats she knows and loves — she feels safe, understood, and deeply cherished.
Pumpkin was originally under the care of another rescue. When her foster mum moved on from that organisation, she was given a choice: return Pumpkin, transfer her to another rescue, or adopt her and take on full responsibility for her care. Because of Pumpkin’s anxiety and her deep bond with her home, the only choice that truly protected her wellbeing was to keep her where she felt secure. Since then, her foster mum has supported her entirely on her own, ensuring Pumpkin never had to face the world without the stability she depends on.
Pumpkin is gentle, resilient, and full of quiet love. She is one of the cats who reminds us why long‑term care matters — and why kindness can change a life. By Giving the Gift of Hope, you help cover the veterinary care that keeps Pumpkin comfortable, stable, and safe. Your support means more than you know.

Bubbles
Bubbles came into care in 2021 after being trapped as a young pawnager during a TNR project. She was frightened, unsure of people, and struggling with a painful eye infection that simply wouldn’t heal. After weeks of treatment with no improvement, the kindest choice for her comfort was to remove the damaged eye — a decision that finally brought her relief and allowed her to begin healing.
Just a few weeks later, Bubbles tested positive for FeLV. FeLV‑positive cats deserve every bit of love, safety, and joy as any other cat, but the reality is that many people hesitate when health issues are involved. Even so, Bubbles was lucky enough to find a wonderful couple willing to open their hearts and offer her the forever home she deserved. Sadly, both adopters experienced severe allergic reactions, and with heavy hearts, they had to return her.
With no further home offers and a condition that makes rehoming more difficult, Bubbles stayed in her foster home — the place where she is cherished, understood, and loved exactly as she is. Every day with her is precious. Her foster mum has given her the stability, gentleness, and safety she needs to thrive, and Bubbles has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who lives her life with courage and quiet joy.
Bubbles is playful, resilient, and full of heart. She reminds us that love isn’t about perfection — it’s about commitment, compassion, and showing up for the cats who need us most.
By Giving the Gift of Hope, you help cover the ongoing veterinary care that keeps Bubbles healthy, comfortable, and able to enjoy the safe life she has finally found. Your kindness truly makes her world brighter.
